Schlotzsky’s Deli restaurants in the Austin area are installing large antennas on their rooftops, allowing customers up to a mile away to use their free wireless access. This will come in really handy at next year’s SxSW. (Does this count as my first SxSW 2003 post?)

i am playing with the thought of going… maybe i should just plan a trip to austin and do all the social stuff but not go to the actual conference.
Mr. Non-Wireless is all about that!
I’m going to patronize Schlotzky’s next year even though I hate that foccaccia bread crap they use.
Technically, James, the SXSW posting season doesn’t officially begin until September 1 when registration opens. But, then, you’ve always been ahead of the curve in your enthusiasm.
Also, I think Mike means farkatke bread.
