Joseph Gordon-Levitt is indeed a bright, unpretentious guy. I met him during a UCLA Film School screening of Manic. He was very approachable. He invited my son to the cast premiere party the next night and made sure he didn't feel left out. That says a lot about him, I think. I very much enjoyed him in Brick, but he was absolutely brilliant in Manic.

No one wants to spend any more time in Detroit than they absolutely have to, I think.

The hotels do fill up absurdly fast, especially with IA growing the last two years. In 2005, I was able to book a room at the Hampton in late January. in 2006, I grabbed one of the last rooms at the Hilton in early November. And this year, I was one of the last into the Hilton - in late SEPTEMBER! (And the Marriott properties were already full!) If this keeps up, we will have to book rooms in August for 2008...
