Dad = Funny Chap

My dad is a funny chap. Over Christmas he mentioned that he needs a CD player and I told him he should buy a DVD player because that will also play CDs. Since he doesn’t have a whole stereo system, it made sense for him to just play his music through his stereo TV’s speakers until he bought a receiver and home theatre speakers. Now he’s talking about getting a 5 disc DVD changer this weekend. I can see where I get my “impulse buy but do tons of research in two days” mentality from. Secretly, I think it’s just a ploy to get me to visit him more often(!) Why? Because I got even more DVDs over Christmas, and am still player-less. I’m hoping to get a Playstation 2 but still haven’t actually seen any in stores. I’m getting very antsy. Looks like I’ll be lugging the Toy Story Ultimate Toybox set over to Dad’s this weekend.

My Waterloo

My Waterloo is up. Not sure how I feel about it, but it is a part of my story.

Warning label: whiney diary entries ahead! I was able to use it as an exercise in learning some more CSS, though, so my suffering has borne some fruit.

First Snow!

We just got our first serious snowstorm of the winter, about 20 centimetres (8 inches) yesterday and last night. It’s actually still snowing, and I can’t believe I made it to work today. I might not get home, though! Send me your warm wishes today.
