Emerging Technology Conference

Since I’m still riding my SxSW high, I’m eager to attend the second annual O’Reilly Emerging Technology Conference, which takes place from April 22-26 in Santa Clara. I heard great things about last year’s conference and I’m sure this is the conference to go to if you want to hear what the tech world’s thinkers are thinking about. I’m especially interested in hearing what Howard Rheingold (author of Smart Mobs) and Clay Shirky have to say.

I’m wondering if anyone is considering going. The only way I’d be able to afford this is to go on a press pass, write some articles to pay for my flight, and sleep on somebody’s floor. Ideas?

New Writing

I’ve added my recent review of Hillman Curtis’ book Making the Invisible Visible: Process, Inspiration and Practice for the New Media Designer to the table of content section. It first appeared in Digital Web magazine.

I’m thinking of setting up a notify list for this sort of thing. Does anyone have any experience with setting one up?

Taking A Step

Inspired by SxSW, I have taken a step toward fulfilling one of my goals in life. I can’t really talk too much about it here, but like Kristin, I’ve done something that kind of scared me, and it feels good to face it. Thanks to everyone who knows what the heck I’m talking about. Your support is so very important to me.

Hopefully, there will be more to share with all of you soon!
