The first season of Six Feet Under is finally coming out on DVD in two weeks. I found it on Amazon.ca quite cheap. With a promotional coupon, and free shipping, it was $90 after all taxes. This should arrive just in time for my birthday!!
This show is only shown on pay TV here and so my only exposure to it was watching the two-hour season finale at Jish‘s place back in August 2001. It was just enough to hook me!
I broke down and got digital cable because they show it on Movie Central out here. But I got hooked pretty much the same way – was at a friend’s place in LA in 2001 and he had a few episodes from the first season on tape.
I’ll be at Costco picking up the first season on Feb 11 too!
It’s only on pay tv here too, James, and Jish has lost his HBO subscription, so I suspect I will be jonesing when the new season starts. Now I have to find another friend with HBO willing to play host every Sunday night!
It’s about time! I loved the first season. If you’re watching a new show called Veritas: The Quest, the actor who plays Claire’s boyfriend is in it.
